Revealing Spaces
Challenge
Bower Architecture is a Melbourne architecture and interior design practice formed in 2005. Initially personal referrals made up the majority of new business enquiries, but as the business matured, it needed to reach a broader client base.
To reach this new audience required a new brand positioning to reflect their evolved offer, and a visual identity which clearly articulated this across all communications.
Solution
Bower work closely with their clients to gain a deep understanding of the people, place and conditions of every project. Through this interrogation Bower provide collaborative solutions for their clients which reveal the spaces that were meant to be.
This insight informed their Self-truth® – ”Revealing Spaces”, an idea which was expressed through every touch point from the tone of voice, to the logo and the broader visual identity.
Site specific content
With the website being one of the first branded touch-points potential new clients interact with, it was imperative the essence of the brand was carried successfully across to the digital space. A simple navigational structure single-mindedly split into Projects and Studio helping users quickly view relevant content.
It reflects Bower’s approachable and engaging nature. Clear client understanding and the potential apprehension they may encounter when embarking on a new project are demonstrated in detail through the ‘About You’ section of the site.
Launching the new brand
In celebration on their 10 year anniversary, Bower Architecture launched the new brand to select clients, collaborators and friends.
Ten pivotal studio projects were presented in a temporary display and supported by collateral including a printed postcard set.
Results
With client testimonials now playing a large role in submissions, project conversions have increased. The new brand has been well received externally and helped crystallise the business direction internally.
“In defining our brand, Self-titled helped us demonstrate who we are across each branded touchpoint, and clearly express how we operate across all areas of our marketing to new and existing clients.”
