Volume Projects assemble unique teams of leading and emerging architects, interior and landscape designers and artisans to produce design-led residential property developments.
Rather than opportunistically moving from one project to the next, Self-titled came up with a brand strategy that suggested creating a series of residential projects united by a common approach, philosophy and set of values.
We created the name ‘Volume Projects’ to reflect that each new development is part of an ongoing anthology of work – crafted by different hands, but delivered under the same vision.
A responsive modular system was designed as a visual constant while allowing for differentiation across each project.
The First Chapter
Volume Projects first residential development comprises 29 apartments, set over 5 storeys.
Volume Malvern East is a artistic alliance between Architects EAT, interior designer Adele Bates Design, landscape architect Jack Merlo, and scent artists Lyn Balzer and Tony Perkins.
The collaboration between these parties formed a key part of the branding and story telling, explored through the brochure and a series of short films.
Volume Malvern East will become much more than just another apartment building dotting the landscape but represent a true meeting of minds.
Design on display
Self-titled partnered with Adele Bates Design to create a beautifully finished display suite and sales tools. Featuring a typical bedroom, bathroom and kitchen, it gives buyers an accurate understanding of their future home.
In order to create a fully immersive experience, Volume commissioned Lyn Balzer and Tony Perkins to create a custom scent for the project. This scent will also greet visitors in the lobby of the completed building.
“Rather than creating stand alone brands for each building, Self-titled have created a brand platform that allows each new Volume to build on the previous.”
